[KIST School] KIST School Idea Bubbling Contest based on KIRI LAB

In order to strengthen self-directed research activities and promote convergence among student researchers, 

we will hold a student idea bubble competition as follows.

 

 

1) Objective

 

- Strengthen self-directed research activities of student researchers on the floor and promote convergence and communication

- Increase interest in the future science and technology agenda of the next generation of science and technology talents, find fresh ideas, and foster creative and challenging perspectives.

 

 

2) Topics (Choose 1)

 

1. Business/start-up ideas using KIRI LAB equipment

※ Support for production cost for prototype implementation when you selected

ex) 3D modeling-based customized braces manufacturing research

2. Research Innovation ideas using KIRI LAB equipment

ex) Experimental measurement research application using 3D printer manufacturing structures, Research to improve the environment and function of experimental equipment in the major field using embedded(Arduino/Raspberry PI)

3) Participants: KIST school students (Students who are not affiliated with KIST school can participate as team member)

Detailed eligibility requirements

·KIST School

students

· students currently enrolled status

※ applicants who are expected to graduate or take a leave of absence within the period of training are not eligible

·Mentor Professor

(① subject applicable when selecting a topic)

· Instructable to enable students to actively perform tasks KIST School Professor

·Team

· Participation in One activity per student

· Trainee, other KIST students can apply it but they cannot apply alone. they can make up the team with KIST School students.

However, the student representative of the application team must be a KIST School students

※ Applying for the ① subjects are required to designate a mentor professor

 

※ Note

- One person per team is designated as representative, accurately fill out the information of representatives and team members. No submissions will be returned.

- The idea proposal should be an applicant's original writing, if there are problems such as plagiarism or copyright, the proposal is not eligible for submission.

 

 

4) How to Apply: A team of 1 to 4 persons submits a proposal (designated form) on the subject to the KIST School Secretariat.

Please submit the documents by July 26th (Mon) to KIST School secretariat(nayoung@kist.re.kr).

 

5) Awards

 

- Grand Prize: Prize of 1,000,000 KRW

- Excellence Award: Prize of 700,000 KRW

- Encouragement Award: Prize of 500,000 KRW for two teams

- Participation Award: Prize of 100,000 KRW

※ Awardees who choose the subject ① offer prototype production costs additionally

※ Participation prize is awarded only to participants in the 2nd presentation evaluation

※ The size of the award can be adjusted in consideration of the number of applicants and the excellence of the proposal.

 

6) Timeline

 

- Submission Deadline: July 26, (Mon)

- Announcement of the 1st review result: July 29,(Thu)

- Presentation and Discussion: August 10 (Mon) ※ PT within 10 minutes of free form

- Announcement of results and awards ceremony: August 17, (Tue)(expected)
